May 29, 2010: The M1A1 arrives in style to it's first battle in Gettysburg, PA.

The Aluminum track guide was cut from an "tee" shaped extrusion found at the scrap yard. The dark object is a 1" X 3.75" x .312" PVC plastic tread.

BUILDING THE TRACKS: In the foreground is a jig cut from a scrap piece of clear lexan plastic. The slots fit the PVC tread, and space them evenly.

After placing 10 or 15 treads in the jig, the treadmill belt was superglued over the treads. Then the aluminum track guides were pop riveted through the treadmill belt and PVC treads. There are 76 treads, 76 track guides, and 152 pop rivets on each track.
