Two aluminum bars (right and left) with wheels and suspension components were built next.

Close up of the road wheels. They were machined from a 3", round, UHMW, plastic, round. See the deep groove for the track guide. A 2.75" long, shoulder bolt forms the wheel axle. There is no need for a bearing, the plastic is a natural bearing material.

The two aluminum bars with wheels and suspension components were then mounted to a .125 inch thick, hull, base plate.

The track drive sprockets were cut from a plastic round bar, and the chain sprocket was mounted to one end. The track drive sprocket turns on the 5/8 inch, non rotating, axle.

The motors mounts through the hull side plate.

Heres a view of the motor, chain drive, and the track drive sprocket. The motors are 450 watt, 24 volt, 550 RPM, with a built in 8:1 gear.
