Well, at 10', the damage will be much more. Possibly going through the fiberglass. I would say that the damage mostly depends on the velocity of the paintball.

I would put another layer or so on your turret. I fiberglassed mine as well, and I did a test with a small sepperate sheet. I shot it with my paintball gun at about 40 ft, and it make a big crack in the fiberglass. I since then added 2 more layers, and it seems like it will be more than enough to prevent a paintball from damaging it.
