So now I think I understand why brand matters for tx/rx pairs - there
are two groups, positive and negative shift. I ordered a GWS receiver
from here:

after reading GWS is compatible with airtonics but now I realize GWS
makes both types (which the vendor didn't indicate) arrrrg.
Why is comparative shopping always easier after the fact?
