To start construction of the Hetzer T-38 I began cutting the sides out of 6mm plywoood. To reinforce the construction, the sides were joined with 1.5cm x 1.5cm pieces of plywood.

The model shows the final structure and reinforced with 1.5cm x 1.5cm plywood strips, the hetzer T-38 is 35" long and the materials used in the construction make it strong and resistant to impacts.

In this side view you can see the construction of T-38, with the reinforcement strips of 1.5cm x 1.5cm plywood along the sides and in the center of the structure, making it strong against impact.

That white material seen on top of T-38 is known in Brasil as Isopor, which is a type of foam that is easy to cut and used for modelling in general.

Para closes the lateral superior of T-38 used that material (isopor) in blocks for fixed that block used a special glue for that material type.

This picture shows the two sides of the upper part of the T-38 with the finished isopor block. It takes 24 hours for the glue to dry before you can cut the excess isopor from the upper side.

After the glue dried the isopor is fixed in the side structure of T-38 and I began her cuts the isopor excess using a razor knife. When cutting the excess isopor, you have to use care to avoid damaging the isopor itself. I have a lot of experience with this process and finished the work with success.

After cuttin the isopor excess, I began to do the mold following the lines lateral superior of T-38, sanding the isopor with 120 grit sandpaper for wood. For the result it is good has to be made those process of sanding the lateral of T-38 two to have the wanted format of the combat tank.

That picture shows the ready work of the molding of the isopor, I am perfect the finish of the lateral of T-38. For better protection of the isopor I applied a resin to protect the isopor so that the camouflaged paint of war can be applied.
