This is the venerable "static" FOA Pz.IV Ausf. H [FOA001] upgraded to full "RC Combat" capabilities:
1. TTMS Motorization - x2 450W Motors
2. TTRS Turret Rotation - 5 rpm turret on an ABS ring with lazy Susan
3. TTES Elevation - lead screw elevation system
4. ECS Control System - Four Talon ESC, Mixer, Fuse Block, E-Switch, two 12V Batteries
5. Ammo Feed - using a flexible electrical tube fits perfectly
6. .50 cal Marker
7. Coaxial Laser Pointer - High Intensity laser pointer mounted on the marker's handle, and calibrated at 50 feet with a butterfly nut
This tank has no suspension system, except for each pair of wheels rotating around a central axle. Each wheel will go up/down by 1/2" to 3/4".

Because it is a straight upgrade from the "static kit", this tank is 100% 20-gauge steel, and is not designed to be opened regularly to attend its RC components. We had to "improvise" by sliding the turret on two back bolts, and add two ABS walls on the lower hull. |

The motorization is a standard TTMS-HP system with two 450W scooter motors in parallel. Two 12V batteries in series provide the 24V power |

We found this "electrical coiled tube" to be easily applicable to the 0.50 cal of the paintball Marker. This feed tube can contain about 25 paint-balls (considerably smaller than the .68 cal paint-balls), and an additional ammo container can be fitted inside the cupola |

Field of Armor Tanks.
We used FOA-CONTRL1 Electronic Control System for the motor controllers, mixers, E-Switch and others. The back idler was strengthened with 18-gauge steel ring inside the resin parts. Otherwise, all 1/4" axles and suspension units are from the original kit |

"First Blood" combat video of the FOA RC Combat Tiger I (T087) versus the Panzer IV Ausf.H (T089). You will note that T087 had lots of paintball marker firing issues (sometimes created by user). A paintball burst into the barrel and created a mess [it is most likely that the PVC sleeve holes were not aligned with the barrel holes, creating too much pressure inside the barrel for the ball to eject out properly)
But the Pz.IVH performed flawlessly. |
