Almost a year In the making ,
I decided to build this tank in a ` modular ` fashion .
I have previously built a plywood hull and then struggled to fit in all the components ,
This tank was going to be more thought out.
Every component can be removed by undoing a few screws or lock nuts. |

The motor housing :- started june 2008 ,this was the first thing I built , two 12v golf trolley motors securely held in a plywood box that can be lifted out when needed .
A 16 tooth 3/8” sprocket is fixed to a 12mm shaft and later pinned using 4mm high tensile blots. |

This is what i did in January 09 , and little else.
the 4.5" discs will form the inner section of the drive wheels.
The odd looking items at the bottom of the pic are to be the suspension swing arms, 100mm X 25mm X 6mm stainless steel, grounded down to shape. |
