Stripped down again for sheathing, you can see the local attack cat inspecting the machine that's invaded his domain....he's worried....it's starting to look more like a Tiger now!

Here you can see the hull top...the funny looking paths on it are from the boy's train-set. Don't worry, before I stole this piece of wood, I built him a new train table to replace it.

My final drives. RATHER substantial. I do not want to have to fix this thing, so I don't want it to be ever capable of breaking. The two bearing blocks provide support to it, the outer plate is 1/4" steel, the inner is 1/8" steel. The welding is rather secure, and I'm quite confident that this is solid.

Here kitty kitty....looking Tiger-ish now?

How 'bout now? One of the main reasons I went with the Tiger was that it's a fairly simple box construction, with no compound curves to deal with (until I get to the turret!)

Here's a view of the swing-arm for the torsion bar system. I had a question from someone asking me for more details on it. Here's a view, the other 13 wheels are all the same.

The interior of the hull after I painted the panels, two coats of marine grade enamel. You can now see the speed controller, the C6C controller, and the motor layout. I have a 24V motor in there (geared head) that I plan to use for turret rotation. We'll see how it works out.

Progress on the turret....it's been a while since I've updated things here, but this is where we're at just now....

The first layer of MDF added the shape. The second layer was added for additional strength.

Side profile....looks almost Tiger-ish now!
