To me this is the only way to build tanks, mdf panels are used to give easy access to any part of the tank. the engine hatch is used to gain access to the speed controller without opening the tank up.

One problem I noticed with my StuG was the drive shafts were begining to get sloppy, so for my KV I made sure they were securely mounted!

1/2 steel is used for all the axles. This setup is very simple and gives great results.

Here is a detail shot of the suspension, the eyebolts allow me to adjust the ride hieght. They ride on bronze bushings, simple and robust. Very Russian.
