These rubber pads were added to the tracks a couple of months later. They help the tank grip surfaces extremely well.

The Upper Hull was completed in three steps. Step one was the center hull. All 1/2 inch plywood.

The second step was the side skirts and the fenderwells. The curve of the metal was simulated by many small pieces of wood glued together.

The third step was the completion of the upper deck. I really liked how the upper hull turned out.

Another view of the upper hull.

This is the start of a gearbox. The piece of wood in the center devides the compartment into right and left sections.

The battery and motor placement in the hull structure.

Here is the beginning of the inner gearbox. The pulleys spin relitively easily on their 1/2 inch axles.

The outside drivechain uses #35 roller chain so mud/water doesn't interfere and cause slippage.

This is a picture of the completed inner drive chain. It uses tablesaw V-belt to transfer power from the motors to the intermediate driveshaft.
