Update:- March 2008 . After some brain storming with Peter A. I decided to reposition the Co2 bottle in the hull. With 3 benefits 1/ Provides a lower centre of gravity. 2/ Produces a cooling effect in the hull. 3/ lowers the inertia of the spinning turret What’s good for the tank is good for the points !

A view of my turret from a very small man. (Thanks for the photo very small man)

Thats it. shes built. I started this Tank build as a means to keep my hands and mind busy whilst I quit smoking, Eight months on I`ve got a tank and not touched a cig all 2007, I`m proud of both these achievements. I want to give a massive thanks to all those who helped me along the way, Theres too many to name so I wont but you all know who you are! Thanks, Neil.

Update:- Feb 2008. After a change over from TTS to KTS, I noticed My ply road wheels are wearing away . Something had to be done.

Each wheel was planned and rounded down .

I made stainless steel discs out of an old bathroom cabinet . The discs were countersunk and screwed to the wheels.

Update:- Sept 08 A battle switch replaced a servo triggered micro switch system. I should be able to fire better from now on . A quick trip round the garden shooting anything that moved or didn’t move proved the system works and I was very pleased right up to the point when my tracks fell off.

Update Dec 2008:- The October revolution showed how Mild steel 12mm bolts will eventually sheer if enough holes are drilled into it and enough torque is applied. This is the reason why T051 became a Field Artillery for a battle. This bolt has been replaced in high tensile steel.
