R/C Tank CombatSummer SkirmishBattle #4 Summaryby Neil Rochford |
Last Tango For the last battle of the day, a scenario was decided "capture Unfortunate Eric from the castle", a familiar theme so it was also decided that two guards required killing into the bargain. Dreams were answered as T068 returned to the side of the North to much celebration from battle weary crews. This didn't prove as useful as hoped because it broke down almost immediately after battle started. The castle was beefed up a little in an attempt for it to survive the ordeal. Due to the voracity of the funky attack and gallant southern defence to keep Eric safe the castle was completely destroyed time and time again. The South fought off a number of attack before the learning crews of the north began to chop and changed its tactics, using the speed of SV014 and fire power of T051 a capture was under way. The two guards were mercilessly blown away as SV014 made a dash for home base by smashing down the castle back wall (no-one said we couldn't do that). Half-way home SV014 took a direct hit allowing the south to re-capture a very flustered Eric. Regrouping back at home base the FTF MD was heard to say "there will be no-one to stop us this time", as the most funky team planned their next assault. A swift smash and grab involving further wanton destruction of a priceless and irreplaceable piece of middle age architecture resulted in a successful mission, the forces of the south could not stop the daring assault a second time. Later comments like "bother" and "jolly unlucky" could be heard wafting from the C3 camp as the FTF wallowed in its success. Sadly no footage was taken of this battle because the T051gun cam memory card was full.
