R/C Tank CombatSummer SkirmishBattle #3 Summaryby Neil Rochford |
The Dawn of a New Day The next day brought fine weather to the Town of Chelmsford as the usual crew re-emerged ready for more carnage. Thanks to the hospitality of Chris Malton and family all battlers had almost all assets back in working condition. The FTF incentive was to make an attempt to bring the captured asset T068 back in to the fold. No easy task as it was vastly out numbered. Mr Arundel (one-time FTF friendly) made the comment "a target rich environment" intended to give an illusion of hope to the funky cause, as he pounded away at the Leopard in his Valentine (FTF built) a nasty grin was spotted about his person. The forces of the South fell in to the strategy of confidence as the Leopard began to pick off assets that had been left alone. After running the initial gauntlet from home base to find a killing position, T051 found haven behind the run down cottages and barricades. The Leopard biding its time then pouncing as its commander could see enemy paint supplies running low, keeping its front facing the most dangerous enemy at any time T051 survived long enough to make sufficient kills especially against FA units, with intent to demoralise its enemies. The fighting became fierce in the frantic struggle and many assets were sent back to home base for reincarnation. The kills were clocking up on both sides.
