R/C Tank Combat

Burton upon Trent

Battle #2 Summary

by Neil Rochford

Otto's Run

For battle 2 a whole new idea was dreamt up. A young man named Otto joined the proceedings. From Camp Eric he was given a "parcel" to deliver to the other side and told if he is shot then the tanker that shot him was awarded 250 points and could reposition him onto a new destination. Other than that he could go wherever he wished (and boy did he)!!! The tension was nailbiting as Otto would swerve wildly to one side due to encountering a small pebble. Some say he was just so nervous as to what would happen to the parcel (that was quietly ticking) that Otto couldn't concentrate on walking in a straight line.

The FTF throw in all its resources to stop Otto but the Valentine and the Locust kept the funky home base so busy wiping paint off tanks that Otto eventually reached the boundary and exploded his box. 1000 points goes to Camp Eric.

Whilst Otto was still dazed and wondering what happened he was given another package and sent back in the direction of Camp Eric. Frantic fighting took place with everyone trying to shoot Otto so they could adjust his direction, little thought went into anything else as Otto slowly trundled into Camp Eric with a mighty Boom !! Otto didn't want to play anymore after that but he will make further appearances on KOR battle sites when he gets out of hospital.
