R/C Tank CombatBonus DayBattle #2 Summary |
BackgroundThe scenario for the afternoon battle was simply brutal. A relatively small area was marked off by a perimeter of cones. All tanks were required to stay within the marked area until destroyed, at which point they were out of the sortie. The last man standing in each sortie received 2,500 bonus points. The following attendees were present: Frank Pittelli (T001), Joe Sommer (T010), Will Montgomery (T026), Paul Pittelli (T077), John Pittelli (T079)
Battle SummaryA total of 4 sorties were fought. Alliances were formed and dissolved throughout the sorties, sometimes in a matter of seconds. John was most successful in getting others to fight his battles, thereby allowing him to win two of the sorties. Joe and Will won one sortie each, while Paul and Frank were skunked.
Battle Strategyby John PittelliYes, many alliances were made. For the first encounter, Joe and I agreed to split the points if we were the last two standing. However, we were told, when we were the last two standing in the battle, that we could not split the points. So, we agreed one would win this time and one the next. Therefore, we had to be allied again. It sort of was like the game, Diplomacy. Make friends, but sort of get the others to believe that you were not allies. At least not until it was too late for them. You had to more more selective with your shots in this game. We only battled with just one magazine of ammo. Unfortunately, the PzII's only carry 30, 25% less than Joe, Frank and Will. But, both scenarios were a blast to play and I REALLY look forward to more of the Fox and Hounds.
