R/C Tank Combat

Anarchy In The UK

Battle #1 Summary

by Neil Rochford

The FTF has had to suffer a most disastrous event. Once proud foundry workers are now forced to lower their heads and admit defeat as the new HQ has been shown to be far less secure than once belived. Three opportunist tank commanders (two complete newbies) saw their chance to strike at the mighty Funky Foundry and succeeded beyond their dreams. Not only have they found the weak points to the new HQ building, basically blowing its doors off (some belive an idea stolen from an American scenario from previous years). They had the cheek (even using FTF asset T068 and pulled from the scrap yard T057) to plunder all the foundry timber supplies designated to build its next tank, whilst T073 stayed at a safe distance and laying down covering fire. The only consolation is that our brave and handsome young tank commander Funky Neroc managed to make some heroic kills on the dastardly and down right cheeky plunderers .

The FTF has no choice but to recognizes certain heroic deeds from this daring raid made by the trio, homage goes out to a Master Aaron Lee who single handedly braved our defensive positions making a four hit kill on the Leopard (T051) then blowing the doors off the new head quarters. 1,000 points has to be awarded in his direction as well as a hearty invite to the KOR UK team. Also a Miss Claire Andrew kept her cool in the newly reconditioned T057, although calmly ignoring multiple blows raining down from the Leopard, continued successfully in the quest to steal all the six giant pieces of lumber, each worth a pre-decided 250 points each .

The Leopard would have had a worse battle if the Marder (T068) hadn't blown its trigger actuator (forcing an end to its firing ability) and the marker out of the Hetzer (T057) was luckily hundreds of miles away in Surrey. One final piece of luck came as it was found that the Valentine (T073) doesn't have turning ability on any surface other than polished marble as the tracks fall off due to the fact that its owner doesn't listen.

The FTF military planners are now forced to beef up its defense in order to stop any repeat of this episode occurring in the planned battle in the woods located in Surrey in the near future.
