Yes Matthew, the arrangement you have shown is exactly what I've built (I take it that the track goes inside the wheel, not over the top of it, although etiher will work) and as long as the top of the track bolt doesn't catch on the next sprocket bolt as it enters or leaves ths should work.

My nuts and bolts have just arrived and also the bearings so I shall spend some of this evening knitting myself a track and the rest of it trying to make it all work.

Certainly putting 2 or 3 screws into the sides of my rubber drive sprocket/wheel may be the way to go if friction isn't enough.

I could do but there in no need, if the pin jumps it only lands behind the next 
one, It works, it just sounds like I`ve not tryed very hard.and i havent.


Matthew:- your drawing isnt really explaining alot as far as size is concerned.
It`ll work (as far as I can tell) depending on the length of your bolts,If your 
bolts are too long they`ll jam.(if I understand it right)
