I scaled the blueprints down on my computer down to a 1m scale, and
the amount of internal volume goes waaaay down. The Maus is
probably NOT DO-ABLE in 1m scale. Why? Look at the front or rear
view. The area between the tracks (at 1m scale) is only 5 inches
wide!! The wider area that extends over the tracks has a vertical
clearance of 2.7 inches! If I'd looked at that before, we could have
avoided the whole scale discussion. LOL. Looks like it's 1/6 or
nothing.
As for outfitting both guns... I am a keep it simple kind of guy.
One gun = less maintenance. If it had a rear turret (a la the
never-built "Rat") then I'd probably think differently.
But you are forewarned, now that it's 1/6, I feel no compunctions
about mounting a set of 1200W motors :) (hehe just kidding)
