Hey everyone,

I’m looking at using a single-double sprocket for a drive gear and 60SD attachment chain for the tracks. I’m just a little curious about how big everyone else’s drive gears and wheels are.

Specs for a Tiger I(late) show wheel diameter of 800mm and at 1:6 scale, that’s 5 ¼  inches and a drive shaft of about ½ or ¾  inch. Is this right? It seems like it is too large, though with an overall height of about 20 inches, I guess it’s not impossible.

I also figure I have about .8275 inches between the chain when on the sprocket. Is a roller wheel of about ¾ an inch thick sufficient?

One last question, for anyone who has built a Tiger I, what did you do about the rocker arms for the suspension? I can’t find anything suitable online, though I think I could possible get away with a machine shop welding a rod onto a short metal arm.

Thanks for all your help everyone.
