Martin,
This is true, however full skid steering is possible when the motor is made
to drive two shafts. One shaft to provide forward motion, one to provide
reverse. Four clutches would be required, one forward and one reverse for
each track. To enable full skid steering one would simply need to engage
the forward clutch for one track and the reverse clutch for the other. The
motor direction would not change, there would be no need.
