Marc, I don't think it would be a good idea to connect different AH
batteries in parallel to charge. If the higher AH battery was low on charge
and the lower AH battery was fully charged it could cause the low AH battery
to overcharge and cook, worst case it could explode. I would not take the
chance of ruining some expensive batteries.

I was wondering how you maintain your batteries. The big tank I built for my
son (T028) uses 2 Exide Maxxima deep cycle batteries and I have a spare set.
The paintball StuG (T035) has a 18 Ah SLA battery and one spare one.
For charging I use this charger : http://pmmbooks.com/wcharger2.htm
 
Since I like to have all my batteries tricle charged during the time I don't
use them I was thinking of connecting the charger to all batteries in
parallel. Would this work out with mixed battery types? I'd like some sort
of rail system to which the charger is connected and simply hook the
batteries on and off for charging.
