looks cool.   Where did you get the motors from?  I scrounged some that looked like those from a power wheels toy bigfoot, though I replaced the motors with 11,500 RPM motors, since the old ones were a little rusty (still worked, just rusty).
The battery I planned to use is a 12 volt, 7Ah that was in an old UPS.
 
Can I ask how you plan to wire up the motors?

The motors are very small but there the same as the motors in T027,and my tank is smaller so it should be ok.
In sticking with 12v and I can buy two 12v esc`ers for about 36 pounds, Id say thats cheep.
I`ve bought a rather large 12v battery, 24amp hour, 
should run a Locust for about a fortnight.
