i have created a mechanical interface for 2 servos to control the joystick on a wheelchair and intend on using it in the tank i will build as i already have the wheelchair. it came for free as the brakes on the motors had seized and i had to remove them (its scary to use it as on a hill it wont stop when you let go of the stick) i may replace them when i build the tank though
 
here is a video of it
 
 
its only a card mockup for proof of concept at the moment but it works well considering
