Yes, leave the #42 sprockets on the M01 motors. They will mesh with #41 chain. #40, #41 and #42 chain are all 0.50 inch pitch. #41 chain has roller width of 0.25 inches but the #42 sprockets are only 0.12 thick. A very long length of #41 chain with lots of slack might walk laterally off a #42 sprocket. However short lengths of #41 chain with little slack as shown at http://www.anvilus.com/motor01_tiger_kit.jpg will not walk off due to lateral stiffness of the chain. > And the shafts of the M1's are metric right? The output shaft of an M01 motor is 11 mm DIA with 4 mm wide key. You could purchase a #41 sprocket with 3/8 bore and have it machined, but that would be a waste of time and money.
