Speaking of RS-80Ds …. Steve, did you have to send yours back to Robot Solutions for repair ? Did they charge an arm and a leg ?

My tank have cost also more than 1000$. It's something of 1200 € ==> 1634$ US I guess. And my tank is just driving without a working turret and a working marker, and my ESC can't take the current that my motors need (more than 30A) so I have to buy an other esc. I think, I'm going to order the RS80D speedcotroller or make my one with mosfets ( +100A) but I think it's to difficult. I'm happy that I've got a good job during my vacation.
but less time to work on my tank project.

Over $1000?  What are you building it from?  I have the tank hull in wood + tracks & suspension parts for under $200... Even adding motors and wheels I'll still be under $600 rolling around on tracks.  My HMMWV
support vehicle cost $60 and came with a radio...
