More precisely, trim the edges of that copper strip so that it doesn't 
touch the case anymore.  A dremel cutoff wheel works nicely, but don't 
cut too deep into the plastic below it.

Also, with the back off, you'll see three (maybe four) little tabs in 
the back that have been pushed out of the back.  These tabs also touch 
the copper strip to ground the back.  Simply push them flat so that they 
can no longer touch the copper strip.

While you've got the back off, you should add a couple capacitors 
between the two copper strips to reduce electrical noise from the motors.

Finally, cover the copper strip with a piece of electrical tape as a 
safeguard for something wedging in the air holes of the back and 
shorting it to them.
