magic smoke + favor from Frank [TANKS]

Well, I went out to get some practice time with my vehicle when disaster struck. I smoked yet another steering servo controller. Everything was fine for about 20 minutes, then I noticed I couldn’t turn right. I looked down and saw my current consumption unusually high. I looked up and saw beautiful white smoke wisping from the passenger side !

 

I hope I can repair it before Saturday, but I’ll need to use the loaner circuit I planned to return to Frank. Frank, is it OK if I delay returning your controller a little longer ? This time, I’m putting a small fuse in line. I may lose steering after a few minutes of battle, but at least I’ll be a piece of semi-mobile field artillery. And I won’t have to rebuild another servo kit.
