David,
I have started the S Tank, photos of my construction are at
www.angelfire.com/mech/sherman I have done much lately as I have moved
interstate, here is Oz, Winter has hit and the garage/workshop is very cold
and haven't set it all up yet.
The motors are 250w geared from Oatley Electronics, the controller at the
moment will be the C6C, but later intend to run it on  a wireless network

Lot of discussion on it a few months back.  I believe there is someone
working on it.  The only problem I see is the suspension elevation that
the original has.  And maybe fitting everything inside.
