There is no dought that Makita & Dewalt make very high quality drills, 
I`ve been a joiner 20 years ,so I know about drills.
but I used a cheaper make, cost just 35 pounds each .
just to give it a try, 
maybe i was lucky but the power and torque 
out of my tank could pull your arm off.
The low gear on almost any battery drill will be 
350-400 rpm ,perfect,
