how far where you thinking of moving the front and rear sets of road wheels
inwards?
For the size of your tank i was thinking rather than moving them inwards,
what about up? as in mount them so they are about 1/4' to 3/8" further off the
ground than the rest of them, this way, when you turn, those wheels don't have
full (or any) contact on the ground, and possibly making it easier to drag the
ends (if they are contacting the ground) of the tracks as they wouldn't be
forced onto the ground as much (unless your on very wavy grounds).
my only other thought would be to maybe move the track out from the hull -
at least an inch or so per side.
not sure what else to suggest.
