Ok, so if I build an M60 to 1/6, then it'll be around 16" between the treads, and just under 4 feet long.  I'm thinking about doing the M60A2 aka the "Starship" that had the wierd skinny turret and had the 152mm gun/missile system from the M551 Sheridan.  Although given that my immediate goal is to build a running chassis, I don't have to declare which M60 model it is, yet :)

My wood and fiberglass skills a re a lot stronger than my metal skills right now.  Think it'd be safe enough to build a wood hull with several layers of fiberglass?  I've seen several wood hull in the photo gallery, but not having been to any battles, I'm not sure.  I DO know that if I build out of wood and 'glass, the final product will be of better quality, given where my skills lay.
