Title:
I think the easy way to get the curved hull/turret for the Patton is to create a simple ladder chassis out of tubing and "dress" the hull with decorative fiberglass components. The next easiest approach for me would be a fiberglass hull with embedded fitments for the suspension. But given your proximity to some premier metal-benders, you might opt for a formed aluminum hull. I expect there are some retired Cessna employees who could give you some excellent pointers on forming aluminum.

Just a thought

Thank for all the comments guys. I will be picking up a 1/35th scale model today of an M60 Patton. I am hoping to figure out the whole curved hull thing as well as a true damped torsion bar suspension, I know that sounds expensive but my aim is to build under 500.00 bucks do any of you think this is unreasonable?
