If you put in all the figures it is supposed to tell you if your motor and gearing will produce the required speed, climbing ablility, etc. I tried this for my infantry robots and as far as I can see it is impossible to build a robot that works. I think I may have got the figures wrong. It might help you though. I'd say try it and see.

That might be a little short, if you gear it for enough tork to move your tank, it will be slower, the speed tradeoff will be too high. I've seen 250w motors recomendation on the site and in this maillist. Hope this will help.
