Actually I was 50 in January but thanks for the thought!
Driving the tanks was great fun. First I did a Chieftan; a bit dissapointing as they only let you drive it 150 yds forward and then back again, but I can say I've done it.
Next I did a FV432 APC. Much more fun- drove it for 5-10 minutes or so. One thing I noticed was how much turning reduced the speed- by at least 1/2. I'd heard of this effect but always assumed the power would transfer from the unpowered to the powered track (it has a simple brake and differential steering system).
Then I drove an Abbott, whch is similar but with a big gun.
Finally we finished off on quad bikes- most exciting but without the wow factor of driving a tank!
