well, if you where to use metal plates for the track links on the belt,
what if you drilled matching holes on all of the links (top and bottom) using
jig, then the inside plates, countersink them and the outer plates, thread them.
then use countersink screw/bolts and use loc-tite or silicone to help secure
them in place.
