12v a good range to consider is 24 to 36ah (a singe battery or two 12ah or 18ah sla’s in parallel).

I don't know about everyone else but I am running at 24 volts because the tank just hums at 12 volts.  In order to get it to move, I had to sacrifice runtime for power or in my case stationary time for runtime.  When I do the rebuild, I am going to run it at 24 volts to give it some power and speed so I can outrun an assault or go up a steep hill.  If I run low on power, I can return to base and switch out the batteries.
