you know what , I could use the mudguards as the track disc`s ,
If I adapt and fix them securely enough.
Then the  "certain groups, with certain rules," will let me play with them still :-)

as for "The local group committee" you talk of , were in the early stages
UK tanks 1/6th(ish, + or - a wheel( I hoped no-one would notice))that move and 
intend to fire paint :-

Is this really the best England can do?
I hope that things will change in the near future.
If we ever get invaded again were stuffed.

My (an amateur's) suggestion is to sandwitch the track with two disks that are larger than the diameter of the tracks around the front wheels. That will hold the tracks in place. Skodas used this convenient solution, see in attached jpgs.  I've done that and enjoy skids at full speed on rough terrains and grass and over obstacles no problem. The new track-guide-disks will be partially hidden behind teh Leopard's mudguards, if that makes you feel better.

 

Now, if you did that, you will enjoy playing with your tank on rough terrains and you won't be "not happy now" Neroc anymore, HOWEVER: your tank will not look an exact Leopard in scale and you might not be able to play with certain groups, with certain rules, like the current group that kindly hosts all of our crazy ideas.

Perhaps the committee in your local group will appreciate the overall effort, will overlook the track-guide-disks and vote that your tank fullfills teh club's rules and requirements .

I'd say don't stretch your tracks too much. That will cause you more trouble at the end, plus a sagging track is a beauty (oh,  I forgot! you don't see that! it's behind teh Leopard's mudguards!).

I`ts the front wheels that`s throwing tracks.Does that make a differance?
Criss (Odysey slipway) says my track guides may not be tall enough ,He may well be
right ,
