Interesting track system- door hinges by the look of it. Looks simple & robust. How does it work?

Yes Neroc,

Lief and JOe Sommer have used drills in their Stuart (T009) and Hetzer  (T010) and that prompted me to use 18 V drills , in my 1:10 all steel and aluminium tank. (attched jpeg).  NO complaints.  Running it for about 10 months now. The gearboxes that come fixed with them are a good solution. I chose to use the high gear (1400 RPM) and further increased torque 3.5 times, when RPM dropped to about 440.

The drills I`m useing have high and low gears, I`m gonna use them, so Im installing a
3/8 chain drive reduction 2.5 to 1 see pic. Has anyone used drill gears (with or
without success) in the past?
