Lots of progress! I put on all the road wheels and got started on the front
suspension. The rear four pairs of road wheels are mounted rigidly, while the front
two pairs are sprung. My gas springs for the suspension should come tomorrow or
Tuesday.
I'm hoping to have this tank at least drivable for the next event. When/where is it
going to be anyway?

Cross post from RFL forum:
I mounted the four unsprung road wheels for one side of the tank. So far so good,
the few links of track I have completed fit just right on the road wheels. The axles
are 3/4" X .08" wall 4130 tubes. The sealed needle bearings in the wheels ride right
on the tube. I'll use beefier axles for the front two wheels and the back drive
sprocket (7/8" most likely). The two front-most axles will stick through some plates
(like the 4 back road wheels I've already done) that are shock-mounted to the front
of the tank. In addition to being shock mounted, the front axle plate will be
adjustable to set track tension. I'm still toying with different ideas for the
suspension on the front two wheels.
