I decided on a suspension right from the start. I certainly extended my
construction time, but I thought the improvement in the "ride" would be
worth it. I took quite a few trips to the hardware, Lowes, and Home Depot
to find adequate springs. I will still have to go with beefier springs on
the lead and rear road wheels.
The downside of a suspension is the lengthening of construction time and the
greatly increased number of parts that may fail. Now that I have the
design, I am glad, but many times I wished I had built it without, and added
it to my second tank.
