Since the ASU is a self propelled gun, there really is no turret.  The fans with have some mesh grates above them to keep most stuff out.  They sit a couple of inches to the rear of the "turret" section of the tank.  I'm sure I might get a little paint on them, but there's nothing I can really do about that.
