And even if the aircraft are never introduced you could still use AA and AAA
guns as objective markers
E.G. Scenario
There are two teams, 1 assualting team and 1 defending team
The mission is that the Defending teams AA guns are a serious threat to the
Assualting teams aircraft (imaginary or real, take your pick), being too
dangerous to send in airstrikes the Assualting teams command has decided to
eliminate the bothersome defences through good old land power.
The Assualting team is deployed in a single small base, this base is off
limits to the Defending team and variable distances can be made uncrossable
for defending units. The Defending team can deploy within 3 ft of any of the
AA guns and/or in a single base to the rear of the AA guns, they can only
resupply from this base. Being a search and destroy mission, Assualting
vehciles can not directly attack the base, they may however fire at it from
long range.
Because of the AA's need to moniter the sky's, no defences such as bunkers
may be placed
2 ot 3 ft of the gun, how ever anti tank guns may deploy within this zone.
Being a search-and-destroy objective, the red team can not resupply within
original Defending territory, they can however stockup from supply vehciles
within their base zone.
To suceed the Assualting team must capture or destroy atleast 50% of the
Defending guns, if there are only 2 AA guns, they must both be taken. To
capture a gun, the Assualting team must destroy any Defending vehciles
within the dployment zone and have atleast two vechiles within the
deployment zone for a certain amount of time (15 to 45 seconds or longer),
capturing a gun doubles the amount of points scored for the capture but the
Defending team can retake the gun in a shorter amount of time than the
Attackers.
The game can be under time limit and/or success rate, once the round is
completed the two teams switch sides and try to outdo the first Assualting
teams efforts.
Score ratios
AA gun destroyed: 10 points
AA gun captured :20 points
0%-25% completion: -20
25%-50% completion: -10 points
50%-75% completion: 0 points
75%-100% completion: 20 points
Using a mission like this will mean that people will still be able to place
AA guns, even if they are only for scenery. It might be a bit complicated
but its a rough adaption from somewhere else so feel free to meddle with the
rules.
I also have other scenarios in mind want them, but I dont think you guys
really need them
