Subject: wasting paintballs on army men? what about a water machine gun?[TANKS]

I was watching the one more current video clips of where it shows a tank shooting at army men. I took note that they fired a couple of shots just to hit 2 or 3 of them.

I know at one point it would be kinda fun in a way to try to take out some troop with the tank like ina real battle, but when I see the tanker just miss a guy and have to shoot again because he didn't hit him, I'd kinda feel that's wasting some paint balls considering since you play by armor strength for tank to tank, I would think it should be some rules along the same line but where if you get the paint ball to hit say, within 6" (or so) of the army guy it should be considered a hit and not a miss.

I am just wondering if this can be changed to the near miss but still killed rule of some kind, if not, maybe something like a small water gun in place of one's machine gun might evens be idea (and possibly make it more interesting) since it would take up a bit more space trying to fit in one of them 6 mm paint balls or even rubber BB's (and be safer).

I know once I get this tiger up and running, I plan on painting someone's tank rather than waste them on little army guys.

maybe this idea could be lent to making some smaller gun placements rather than using paint balls?
