Our general rule of thumb has been that artillery pieces are designated
when the elevate, rotate (if used) and fire control sub-systems are in
working condition. They don't have to be completely done, nor even look
nice, but the basic functions need to be working.
Keep in mind, all of the currently designated artillery pieces were
actually fully operational when they were assigned a number. They were
designed and built by veteran Maryland battlers for the sole purpose of
making the battlefield a living hell ... designation was basically an
after-thought. So, you probably don't want to join such an elite group
of battlers without showing equal devotion to your craft ;-)

Given YouTube's unlimited storage and bandwidth we are currently in the
process of moving most of our videos to their servers to attract a
larger viewing audience and decrease downloads from the tank website.
We will continue to maintain a video index and reference videos from our
battle reports, but YouTube can better handle serving them up. Now that
it belongs to Google, it's sure to be around for quite a while.
So, please feel free to upload your videos to YouTube, send me the URLs
and I'll add references to the appropriate pages on the tank website. I
suggest you include "RC Tank Combat" somewhere in the title or
description so people can more easily find them when searching YouTube.
