Based on Tyler's question, I bought a sheet of 1/8 inch thick
PVC sheet. I shot it numerous times at point-blank
range with my Hetzer's gun which had been chronographed
to 275 fps at the last battle. There was no damage at all.
Some adventurous tanker may wish to try 1/16 or 3/32 thick.
PVC sheet looks like it might be good building material
for an upper hull or turret because it is easy to cut and
glue.
US Plastic www.usplastic.com sells 1/8x24x48 sheet for $26.09 .
Frank, you may wish to add the US Plastic URL to our "Related
Links" page at www.rctankcombat.com .
Warning - PVC armor may sustain significant battle damage if rammed
by wild Tigers or Cromwells driven by paint-ball crazed berserkers.
