I recieved and installed my speed controller yesterday. I got all the wires hooked up and it works perfectly! The acceleration, braking, and reversing is firm and smooth. The Whyachi/Sevcon 33048 speed controller uses regenerative braking, so that should help run time a little. I also figured out better placement for the ESC and motor as shown in the pictures:

The ESC is bolted down to a piece of half inch lexan spanning between the two red fibergrass chassis sides. The motor goes underneath the controller. This configuration keeps the chain oil off the electronics and leaves the esc terminals and wires exposed for easy maintainance. The lexan platform will be held in place by two pieces of angle iron attaching it to the red chassis plates so that all the bolts to remove the platform are accesable without removing the tracks. In addition to providing a mounting surface for the ESC, the lexan platform retains the battery infront of the motor, holding it from sliding backwards. The tanks coming together quickly, I'm so excited!
