At 1/9, the body of the Abrams is 35".  With gun it's about 42" if you go by the 21st Century version of the Abrams, but the gun on the 21st Century Abrams is too short for scale ASFIK.

If I ever get around to building an Abrams, it will be 1/6 also for the very same reason.  ;)
