350W scooter motors are
definitely sufficient to operate any tank in our scale. Will
Montgomery uses them in the SU-100, which is a very heavy vehicle, and the
SU-100 has no mobility problems at all. In fact, it is starting to
look like scooter motors (250-350Watts) are performing better than
EV-Warriors. They don't have as much excess power, but they deliver
enough for the job and they waste less battery power. Coupled with
the fact that they are readily available and cheap enough to have a couple
spare on hand at all times, I think they are the best solution so
far.
