Tyler,
I bought 1/4 inch thick acrylic from McMaster-Carr.
All of my components, costs and drawings are
available at http://www.anvilus.com/hobby.html
I really cannot recommend acrylic for the lower hull.
It is fine for the upper hull.
I just gave my tank a thorough cleaning and found 3
major hull cracks that may be fatal. This winter I will
probably build a new aluminum lower hull and
Frankenstein the upper acrylic hull onto it.
I am designing a bolt-together kit for a Tiger I aluminum hull
that uses Tyng M1 motors. It should be ready in January
if you want to wait.
