They are a little slow at ~4RPM, but I'm either looking at overvolting them or changing the motor out so that the actual rotation speed is increased.  The second option is the most appealing to me.  Now if I can just figure out how to get the motor off....;)   Although, I just found a reference saying that the motor is good for intermittant duty at 24V.

Lots of folks use "lazy susans" like this:   http://www.sciplus.com/recommend.cfm?recommendid=3182&jump=index%2Ecfm%3Fstart%3D1

Or, I bought a couple of these for later tanks with turrets:  http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-5-HIGH-TORQUE-CNC-TYPE-ROTARY-TABLE-W-DC-MOTOR_W0QQitemZ160048580570QQihZ006QQcategoryZ41943QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
